Another day, another brief. To create a female whiskey brand, bottle and packaging. Having now thought of a name ‘Azure Mist’ let the project commence. Behind the name: I decided on a colour scheme of either blue or pink. Pink for the obvious as it can be seen as the politically correct colour for a girl, Blue on the other hand can also be just as feminine but not as obvious and i wanted to portray this in my work by using the blue against a white or silver to give it a shimmery look. Once deciding on the colour blue, i started to look at different ways of saying the colour without actually using the exact word, i used a theasaurus and came across the word “azure” for me this was the perfect word as it sounds mystical. Moving forward with the idea of mystery, i asked a number of woman what they thought the word mystery could mean, majority said that they found the mystery of something sexy. This gave me the idea of using “mist” within the named product to show the sophisticated sexyness of my new female whisky brand.
